Frequently Asked Questions

For Festival Events, do I need to purchase a ticket in advance?

We recommend that you purchase tickets in advance. There is no guarantee of tickets at the gate. Events do sell out! During sold-out events, those without tickets will be turned away.

How do I purchase a ticket online?

All online tickets must be pre-purchased via www.missiontix.com

If it rains, can I get a refund?

No. Festivals are held rain or shine.

What is the admission price?

Bluegrass Festival on April 22, 2017:

For advance tickets:
VIP admission is at 11:00 a.m. and is $37.50
General admission is at 12 noon and is $27.50
Designated Driver admission is $15.00

For tickets sold at the gate (if not sold out):
VIP admission: $42.00
General admission: $32.00
Designated Driver admission: $20.00

Children: All children 17 and under will be admitted free to the Festival. Ages 18 to 20 must purchase a designated driver ticket.

What does admission include?

VIP admission includes a tasting glass, free parking, 11 a.m. entry time, 20 four-ounce pours and a full day of live music.
General admission includes a tasting glass, free parking, 12 p.m. entry time, 16 four-ounce pours and a full day of live music.
Designated Driver admission includes 12 p.m. admission, free parking and a full day of live music.

What time is the festival?

The Bluegrass Festival runs from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. VIP ticket holders will be admitted at 11 a.m. and General admission ticket holders will be admitted at 12 p.m.

What is at the festival?

The Bluegrass Festival will host 40 breweries for tasting all day long. Red Shedman Brewery will have it’s tasting room open as well.
Food will be available from many vendors and food trucks.
Live music from five groups will be playing all day. Please visit our events page for information about the music.

What can I bring to the festival?

  • We encourage you to bring blankets and chairs, pop-up tents (max size 10’x10′) and umbrellas. Tents and umbrellas will have a designated area of the lawn for set-up.
  • You may bring food and non-alcoholic beverages (Per Maryland state law, no alcoholic beverages may be brought onto the premises. Please note; coolers will be searched)

What is prohibited?

  • Alcoholic beverages. Per Maryland state law, no alcoholic beverages may be brought onto the premises. Please NOTE:  Any outside alcohol will be confiscated.
  • Grills or cooking devices (e.g warmers, hot plates, broilers…)
  • Generators, devices that need electricity.
  • Pets.
  • Radios or speakers for music other than festival music.

Can I bring kids?

Yes, but keep in mind there are no activities for children and it is hard to maneuver strollers.

Do you accept credit cards? Do the vendors accept credit cards?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) at all purchasing areas. Some vendors accept credit cards and some are cash only. There will be an ATM on site.

Can I have my birthday party/bridal shower/bachelorette party or other special occasion at the festival?

Yes! We are happy that you are choosing to celebrate your special day with us. You are welcome to bring in a tent and your own food to provide for your guests. However, we do not reserve space during the festivals and at this time we do not have any VIP packages or private areas available.

I don’t want to go to the festival. Can I just do a normal tasting?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer our normal tours and tastings during the festivals. We hope that you are able to visit us on another day. Here is information about visiting us on a non-festival day.

I would like to obtain an application for vending. Who do I contact?

You can email info@redshedman. Be sure to include a link to your website, Facebook page or photos of what you intend to sell. Please note that commercial vendors are not accepted.
